If your mailing address is not printed on the check, please provide it in writing. If you have a shared bank account and multiple names appear on the check, please use the memo line to indicate which individual is making the donation (or indicate this separately in writing).

About the campaign
South Dakota Open Primaries is a statewide ballot question committee registered with the South Dakota Secretary of State. Our purpose is to build support among voters for a proposed 2024 constitutional ballot initiative that would establish open primary elections in South Dakota. Donations to South Dakota Open Primaries are not tax deductible.
No limit on donations
There is no limit on the size of a donation or the number of donations to a South Dakota statewide ballot question committee.
Donations from businesses, organizations, associations, and other entities (non-individuals)
Businesses, organizations, associations, and other types of entities are permitted to donate to South Dakota Open Primaries but additional reporting requirements may apply. Please call the campaign team prior to making the donation.
Campaign finance reporting
South Dakota Open Primaries files campaign finance reports with the South Dakota Secretary of State.
