We submitted our petition for final review!

Exciting news – today, we filed our official petition with the South Dakota Secretary of State for final review!

Read the Dakota News Now article about our final filing!

After we receive approval (which we expect very soon), we will be able to launch a signature drive to collect the 35,000 signatures that we need in order to qualify our open primaries initiative for next year’s ballot.

Over the past several months, we have advanced through the state’s initiative and petition approval process by submitting various filings with the SD Secretary of State, SD Attorney General, and SD Legislative Research Council.

Now, we are on the verge of entering the next phase of the campaign – circulating petitions and gathering signatures from voters across the state. And we need your help.

In order to collect the 35,000 signatures, we need teams of volunteers in every corner of South Dakota. There are three ways you can help: signature gathering, petition notarizing, and transportation. Learn more by visiting our website.

If you’re not able to volunteer your time, please consider donating to the campaign to help us cover the costs of printing petitions and handouts for our circulators.

We will be launching our signature drive very soon – stay tuned for another update later this week.
